
Oliver Nguyen, President / CEO
Oliver founded SoftShores in 2001 to serve the technical staffing and software development needs of his clients. Since 2002, he has also served as President of the Bay.NET User Group (www.BayNetUG.org), an organization supporting the .NET community in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 5000 members. He is a Microsoft MVP and is recognized widely for his community contributions.
Prior to SoftShores, Oliver was the Director of Software Development at Panurgy Norcal and was responsible for delivering software solutions to clients. He also developed both domestic and international partner relationships. Clients included US Web (Walgreens, Levi’s, and Televisa Projects), Adjacency (Nordstrom and Virgin Megastore Projects), Wells Fargo, Mindscape, Genentec, Esurance, Interpraise and Reel.com. Prior to Panurgy Oliver worked in both Program Manager and Technical Lead roles for companies including Summit Integration Group, Bank of America, Security Pacific Corporation, and Tracor Flight Systems. Projects for these companies included fraud detection, customer relationship management, F-18 Flight simulation, inventory and billing systems.
Oliver received his BS in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine with a Minor in Psychology. While at UC Irvine, he completed graduate work on Artificial Intelligence with an emphasis on Neural Networks. He is a Member of the UCI Information and Computer Science Alumni Program.
